That was the count as I landed in Hamburg. The reason I was so eager to make good time was simple: nothing, nothing could be more boring than the stretch between Münster and Hamburg. Flat, dead, and without a person; the faster I could get to Hamburg, the better. The Hanseatic City, which is to become my home and workplace after studying, was waiting longingly for me.
The weather is actually always bad here, the people almost always in a good mood, and two Ukrainian truckers always invite me to coffee when I skate at the port. For that reason, I’ve always been a fan of the Pearl on the North Sea and see myself living there in the future.
